Public notice
How this notice applies
This page explains the website, portal, and online-tool terms that apply when you use Simon Law Group's public and client-facing digital services.
Effective Date: 2026-05-04
1. Audience
The website at https://www.simonattorneys.com (the "Site") and the client portal at https://app.simonattorneys.com (the "App") are intended for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and Simon Law Group, LLC ("SLG") does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 in violation of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506, and the FTC's COPPA Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 312.
2. Minors as clients
SLG sometimes represents minors (for example, in personal-injury matters). Representation of a minor is established through the parent, guardian, or guardian ad litem, who is the SLG client of record for purposes of the engagement letter and the Portal. Information about a minor that we collect for representation is collected from the parent, guardian, or guardian ad litem — not from the minor through the Site or App — and is handled under our Privacy Policy, the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (where PHI is involved), and applicable court rules and ethics rules.
3. If a child has provided information
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Site or App without parental consent, contact info@simonattorneys.com. We will:
- delete the information from our systems where reasonably possible;
- direct vendors holding the information to delete it;
- review whether any further action is required by law.
4. Teens (13-17)
Where applicable state law gives additional rights to teens, we honor those rights, including:
- California's Online Eraser law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22581) — minors may request removal of content they have posted;
- Connecticut's teen-data provisions under CTDPA;
- Maryland Online Data Privacy Act teen-protection provisions (where applicable);
- New York Child Data Protection Act and SAFE for Kids Act provisions (where applicable to NY teens);
- and the additional protections under state comprehensive privacy laws for "known minors."
We do not direct online behavioral content or targeted advertising to users under 18 in any state with applicable teen-online-protection laws. Contact info@simonattorneys.com to make a request.
5. School / education context
The Site and App are not designed for use in K-12 educational contexts. We do not act as a "school official" under FERPA or sign EdTech agreements through the Site or App.
