Terms of Service

The agreement governing your use of the Simon Law Group website, Client Portal, payment tools, scheduling, and related online services.

Effective Date: May 19, 2026

These terms are the public website and online-tools agreement for Simon Law Group, LLC. They work with the more specific notices in the Legal Center, including portal terms, SMS consent, e-sign consent, acceptable use, payment disclosures, privacy, cookies, accessibility, and attorney-advertising notices.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Simon Law Group, LLC ("the Firm," "we," "us," or "our") website, Client Portal, payment tools, contact forms, chat tools, scheduling tools, resource downloads, or related online services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Where a Service presents a checkbox, button, electronic signature, clickwrap screen, portal login, payment confirmation, or similar affirmative action, your action indicates acceptance of the applicable terms for that Service. If a more specific policy applies to a particular tool, the more specific policy controls for that tool.

2. Services Provided

This website provides general information about the Firm's legal services, attorney profiles, office locations, and educational content. The website also provides:

  • Client Portal: Authenticated access for existing clients to view case status, invoices, and upload documents, governed by the Client Portal Terms of Use.
  • Online Payments: Secure provider-aware payment processing through LawPay (AffiniPay) and Stripe for invoice payments and retainer deposits.
  • Live Chat: Messaging with Firm staff or intake support during business hours or through after-hours message capture.
  • Consultation Booking: Online scheduling for initial case evaluations.
  • SMS Notifications: Appointment reminders, intake follow-up, and case updates for people who opt in, governed by the SMS / iMessage Consent.

3. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Accessing this website, submitting a contact form, using chat, booking a consultation, downloading a resource, making a payment, or sending information through an online tool does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is established only after firm review, written firm acceptance, and a signed engagement letter or retainer agreement.

Please do not send confidential documents or sensitive facts through public forms or chat until the Firm has confirmed that it can discuss representation with you.

4. Client Portal Terms

Access to the Client Portal is provided to existing clients through credentials or an access process issued by the Firm. Portal use is also governed by the Client Portal Terms of Use, the Acceptable Use Policy, and any engagement-letter terms that apply to your matter. You agree to:

  • Keep your access code confidential and not share it with third parties.
  • Upload only documents relevant to your legal matter (PDF, Word, Excel, and text files only; no photos, videos, or audio files).
  • Notify the Firm immediately if you believe your access code has been compromised.

The Firm reserves the right to revoke portal access at any time.

5. Online Payments

Payments processed through this website are handled by third-party payment providers such as LawPay/AffiniPay or other approved processors. The Firm does not intentionally store full card numbers or bank credentials on its public website servers. Payment routing, trust-account handling, vendor limitations, chargebacks, and IOLTA-related disclosures are addressed in the Payment Processing & Vendor Disclosure and Trust Account Statement.

6. SMS Communications

Providing a phone number alone does not require you to receive text messages. If you affirmatively opt in to text messaging through a checkbox, chat handoff, portal setting, intake process, or other consent flow, you agree to the SMS / iMessage Messaging Consent & TCPA Notice. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message frequency varies. Standard messaging rates may apply. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

7. Electronic Signatures and Records

When a Service uses electronic signatures, electronic records, or electronic delivery, the Electronic Signature & Electronic Communications Consent applies. Certain legal documents or matter types may still require wet signatures, notarization, witnesses, or court-specific procedures.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Simon Law Group, LLC and is protected by United States copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simon Law Group, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Somerset County, New Jersey.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
