Public notice
How this notice applies
This page explains the website, portal, and online-tool terms that apply when you use Simon Law Group's public and client-facing digital services.
Effective Date: 2026-05-04

1. About this Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Simon Law Group, LLC ("SLG") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on https://www.simonattorneys.com (the "Site") and https://app.simonattorneys.com (the "App"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies, including local storage, session storage, web beacons (pixels), software development kits (SDKs), and server-side tracking. We use the word "cookies" in this Policy to cover all of these technologies.
Cookies may be:
- First-party (set by SLG) or third-party (set by another company); and
- Session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (stored for a set period).
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into three standard categories: Strictly Necessary, Analytics, and Advertising. Analytics and Advertising cookies are governed by Google Consent Mode v2. On every page load, all consent categories default to denied, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you affirmatively accept them through our consent banner (see Section 5).
3.1 Strictly Necessary
Required for the Site or App to work. They cannot be turned off in our systems. They are typically set in response to actions that amount to a request for service, such as logging in, filling forms, or recording your cookie choices.
| Name | Vendor | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__Host-session | SLG | Authenticated session | Session |
csrf | SLG | CSRF protection | Session |
slg_consent | SLG | Stores your cookie-consent choice (accept or decline) | 12 months |
3.2 Analytics
Help us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can measure and improve performance. These cookies are set only after you accept through our consent banner. We use:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) — loads and governs our measurement tags;
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — loaded through GTM to count visits, traffic sources, and page interactions.
Until you accept, Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics_storage set to denied, so GA4 does not write analytics cookies or transmit measurement data.
3.3 Advertising
Help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, where enabled, support advertising features. These cookies are set only after you accept through our consent banner. They may include:
- Google Ads conversion — measures actions (such as completed contact requests) that result from our advertising;
- Google AdSense (optional) — an advertising tag that is disabled by default and is enabled only if SLG turns it on for the public blog.
Until you accept, Consent Mode v2 keeps ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization set to denied, so these tags do not write advertising cookies or transmit advertising data.
3.4 Consent log
We maintain a record of cookie-consent choices for evidentiary purposes. Your choice (accept or decline) is stored in the slg_consent cookie described in Section 3.1 and honored for 12 months or until you change it.
4. Server-side and other tracking
We use server-side logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability. We use error-reporting tools to detect bugs. Where these technologies process personal information, they are described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
- Consent banner: on your first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline analytics and advertising cookies. Because all consent categories default to denied under Google Consent Mode v2, no analytics or advertising cookies are set unless and until you click Accept. Your choice is saved for 12 months. To change your choice, clear the
slg_consentcookie (or your site cookies) in your browser, and the banner will appear again on your next visit. - Browser controls: most browsers let you block, delete, or warn before storing cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will likely break the App.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor the GPC signal as an opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" where applicable. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Mobile devices: limit ad tracking via your device settings.
6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
SLG does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The "Do Not Sell or Share" link, where present, applies the same rule and confirms your choice for our records.
7. Cross-Border Transfers
Some vendors that drop cookies may process information outside your country. See the international-transfer section of the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be highlighted via banner. The Last Updated date above shows when this Policy was last revised.
